Brrr. Winter continues to stay here in Chicago, but I will not let the outrageous cold deter me from looking cute! Jackets and coats are one of the easiest ways to take a rather boring or layered winter outfit and give it a little more life. I have an entire clothing rack of jackets and coats ranging from a motorcycle, leather, down, wool, cape etc. The Midwest can surprise you daily on how quickly the weather is going to change, so you need to be fashionably prepared! The only downside is that coats tend to get really pricey, so I make sure to keep an extra eye out for the sales especially at the end of the season. Where are some of your favorite places to shop for coats and jackets? Personally, I find a lot of affordable pieces at Forever 21 (surprisingly) Zara, Asos and Macy’s!
One of the great things about a Chicago winter is you can usually find great sales come January. The stores are getting ready to make way for all of their spring inventory, but we still have a solid 3-4 months of sweater and jacket weather ahead of us! This sweater I’m wearing from Express is unfortunately from last year, but I have linked some similar ones that are available online right now!
This ribbed acrylic knit from Target is soft, comfortable and adds a fashion forward touch to your outfit. Comes in black and gray and under $15! Looks great on its own or a perfect layering piece for the winter. The tunic length and slim fit makes it super flattering and you cannot go wrong for that price!
This Lou & Grey Marled sleeveless cowl sweater comes in a luxe cotton and wool blend and is a favorite for the winter season transition- wear it alone on warmer days or layer on cooler. Ps, this is also on sale from $80 to $30!
This green and white checked coat by Oasis is really feminine and tailored. Currently on sale at Asos!
Shoesday Tuesday! Unfortunately, I bought these Vince Camuto over the knee boots two years ago, but I have linked some similar grey OTK’s!
These trendy faux suede OTK’s with a block heel are $30 from Charlotte Russe!
You can never go wrong with the iconic Over-the-knee boot from Stuart Weitzman!
We were so cold and couldn’t stop laughing, so I thought I would leave you with one blooper for the road!
