As I am writing this post, I can’t help but laugh at how much I am loving Pastels for Spring. My wardrobe typically doesn’t consist of a lot of colors, but I am coming around. We are lucky and unlucky sometimes that we get to experience all four seasons in the midwest, but it really allows us to play with our outfits. In the winter, my wardrobe is about 90% black with other colors thrown in like olive green and navy haha. I was meeting my friend Whitney one day and when we arrived she said to me “I was wondering what you were going to wear today and then thought Maria will probably look like she just got off a motorcycle”. It still makes me laugh, because she is so right! The point of this post is I am surprising myself that I am drawn to lavender, sky blues and yellows for the spring. This is what I love about fashion, no matter what age you are you can play with different styles, colors, textures and prints. My style is constantly evolving and changes throughout the years/season. It’s one of my favorite ways to express my individuality.
Pastels currently obsessing over
You can also check here one of my favorite pastel looks from last year. This coat from English Factory is my top jacket to wear in the Spring. I love incorporating new and old pieces into my outfits and it’s something you are going to see repeated this year, just styled differently. While checking out this post you can also read all about my Easter family traditions. Almost everyone I know celebrated Easter this past Sunday, but I am Greek Orthodox so we celebrate this coming Sunday. I explain why the dates differ and how the date for Orthodox Easter is determined. Thanks for stopping by!
Cheers to making it half way through the week, only two more sleeps till the weekend!
